Scott joined Royalty Pharma in 2020 and was promoted to his SVP, Chief Accounting Officer role in 2025 following 5 years as VP, Technical Accounting. Previously, Scott was a director in PwC’s Deals practice. Over the course of 10 years, he provided capital markets and accounting advisory services to clients across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical and asset management sectors. His work at PwC concentrated on complex transactions and business structures, including financial instruments, business combinations, IPOs, stock compensation, and other technical topics. Scott began his career as a post-graduate technical assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), where he collaborated with the Board and staff on the development of accounting standards. Scott holds a BS in accounting and finance and an MS in accounting from Indiana University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
